Calling all aspiring nature writers! We are hosting a FREE online writing workshop for you led, by the brilliant, award-winning writer Electra Rhodes.

Peewits, yaffles, scribblebirds and pickcheese: Writing the folklore of birders, birds, and birding.

Monday 24th March 2025, 7pm via Zoom

This 90 minute participatory workshop features a range of exercises and inspirations to get you writing about the birds you know and love or are still yet to meet. Whether new to writing nature or an old hand, this session will work for you whatever your experience is of getting your ideas down. Come with a love of birds and birding and leave with at least one piece that sings on the page.

Electra Rhodes is an archaeologist who lives in rural Wales where the buzzards keen and the red kites run. Her award winning writing appears in dozens of anthologies and journals. She’s taught hundreds of people at a range of workshops and festivals across the UK.
