About Golden Grenades Collective
Kit Jewitt has been a birder since childhood, largely thanks to his obsession with the best bird in the world, the peregrine falcon. He created his online alter ego YOLOBirder for bird-related kicks, and somehow managed to blag his way onto the BBC Tweet of the Day and Springwatch, receiving the undeserved honour of being named an Unsprung Hero for his #99Birds art book project. That was the precursor of Red Sixty Seven, a book he curated of art and words raising money for the UK’s red-listed bird species. Published by the British Trust for Ornithology in 2020, it has raised over £40,000 to date. He also likes football, music and bacon-flavoured maize snacks.
Will Rose is an animator, illustrator and wildlife fan based in South London. No stranger to the Golden Grenades podcast, Will has loved getting involved, creating animation and tunes for the show. His passion for nature and love of working with music led him to making his own award-winning shorts, not to mention working with superstars such as Sir David Attenborough and Yoga with Adriene as well as designing, writing and animating on the award-winning children’s shows, Hey Duggee and Peppa Pig. He loves to create work with oodles of colour and enjoys nothing more than cramming as many birds and animals in to his work as possible!
